The script introduces interesting characters – albeit minor ones that are purely cosmetic – highlighted by great performances from Brody and Pearce
The problem here is that in the final hour, the writers decided to introduce unexplored subplots that prevent the film from having a proper ending, thus leaving a bitter feeling of incompleteness and preventing this monumental project from achieving what it was intended to.
